Let’s not mince words. COVID was the most disruptive public health crisis in over a hundred year. Nursing home, who care for our venerated elders, are especially impacted. Led by the AHRQ, with assistance from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, members of our team are helping provide quality improvement coaching to nursing system nationally (though our specific focus is in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Illinois). To quote project ECHO leadership:

Together, we are making a difference. To date, over 9,000 nursing homes have signed up for the AHRQ ECHO National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network. Based on publicly available data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, nursing homes participating in the Network serve approximately 630,700 residents. Almost half of all Americans living in nursing homes may be impacted by the Network.
